Vanguarde’s Jon Comerford and Andrew Cividino are Emmy winners

Vanguarde’s Jon Comerford won an Emmy this year! Jon took home the award for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series for his work on the sixth and final season of SCHITT’S CREEK (CBC/PopTV).

Jon Comerford is a first-class casting director who holds three CSA awards for best casting and continues casting productions such as TRICKSTER and DIGGSTOWN for CBC, ANOTHER LIFE (Netflix), STAR TREK DISCOVERY (CBS), and many others. Jon has now added an Emmy to his already long list of accomplishments – a list that will undoubtedly continue to grow! Watch Jon’s acceptance speech here.

Vanguarde’s Andrew Cividino also won an Emmy this year for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for the series finale of SCHITT’S CREEK. Andrew shares this award with series star and showrunner Dan Levy.

Andrew Cividino is an extremely talented Director who has skyrocketed into the top-tier of Canadian filmmakers since his 2015 debut SLEEPING GIANT won Best Canadian Feature Film at TIFF. SCHITT’S CREEK (CBC/PopTV) was nominated for fifteen awards, winning nine, which set a record for the most Emmy wins in a single season for a comedy series. It was also the first comedy or drama to ever sweep all four acting categories. Click here to read more.
